India packing is less about brands and more about the week’s weather and the places that ask you to cover your shoulders.
Coastal Odisha is humid; western Odisha hills can be cool at night. North India in winter wants layers; summer wants cotton and patience. Check the actual route, not a generic “India packing list”.
Temple and gurdwara visits usually need covered shoulders and knees, and sometimes head covering. A light scarf earns its place more often than a fourth pair of shoes.
On long car days: water, printed hotel names, any regular medicine, and copies of ID. Keep jewellery modest in crowded places. This is ordinary care, not a scare list.
